How Executive Recruiters Recruit Professionals

By Dominique Martin

For years now, the Recruiters agency has been hiring professionals to serve in different capacities in many companies across New Zealand. They do this on behalf of many companies. This is because some of these companies do not have time to recruit e workers and therefore they entrust this process on agency to recruit highly trained and ready to work individuals. There is a mutual benefit, as the Executive Recruiters agency, the applicant and the company all benefit in one way or another.

There are those applicants that complain of not being contacted no matter how many times they have tried to apply for advertised openings. It is only fair that you receive communication after you make an application for a job. However, there are reasons why you never get to receive any communication after your application.

For your application to be considered next time, make sure you follow these steps when applying. Always have the required specifications as dictated on the job advertisement. The recruiters are very specific and if your application misses even one of the requirements, it will be ignored. The recruiter has the impression that you either did not read and understand the advertisement, or maybe you did not read it at all.

Other things to consider when doing your application, especially the application letter, is typing errors or spelling mistakes. This definitely disqualifies you and you will never hear from them. Make sure your grammar is unmatched and that you proofread and spell check your cover letter before you finally submit it. They get the impression that you are careless, lazy and a person who cannot even proofread a simple application letter.

Also, it saves time and energy when applying for a certain position to include the name of the post you are applying, on the subject line of your email. This makes it easy for the recruiter to open the email, read it and respond effectively. It is important to bear in mind that the recruiter goes through hundreds or even thousands of email applications and therefore something that seems to be irrelevant can easily be ignored.

Always make sure that the subject line on your application email is straight to the point. If your email is not like this, it slows down the recruiting process and therefore the recruiter always ignores them, moving on to the next email. When one is applying for these jobs, make sure that on your subject line you briefly indicate the post that you are applying for.

Another mistake that always bars many applicants is how they answer questions once the recruiter calls them. Some applicants tend to give a lot of information more than is required. Others though are very short, which then translates that the applicant cannot fully express themselves, therefore misses out.

When all these problems in an application are combined, they simply disqualify someone. The recruiter may not have all the time in the world to mention them to every. Therefore, you are supposed to make sure that you check your work for all these mistakes and more in order to have the application considered next time.Do not give mistakes a chance to contribute to the application rejection.
