Discovering The Lucky Stars Of Cheyenne Arapaho Tribes

By Stella Gay

While the local casino may be called The Lucky Star, it is the children whom live in the local area who are the real lucky stars. For, this casino ran by the Cheyenne Arapaho Tribes host events which support education for local Native American students. In fact, the Lucky Star Educational campaign netted well over $7,000 dollars for local educational programs in 2014.

There are honest leaders of these programs and those which are not so honest. As such, it is often beneficial to read a variety of reviews before making additional donations to same. Of course, when playing at a casino offering funds toward charitable causes, at least a portion of a loss goes for a better cause than when playing in places like Reno or Las Vegas.

Currently, two well known tribes which do have these support networks are the Wiyot tribe in California out of Blue Lake which operates a charitable program out of Blue Lake Casino and that of the Cheyenne Arapaho tribe. A number of similar programs also exist in Arizona at various establishments which are run by different local tribes. Unfortunately, states like Texas and some on the east coast have been slow to accept Indian casinos which equates to a loss of educational support for Native American students living in those areas.

When traveling, it can often be good to sign up with players clubs on the road as there are often gifts, free food, money and other prizes. Whether or not one plans on returning to the area, these gifts can often be worthwhile whether a calendar, a watch or other items. Of course, the best of all is that of a coupon for free food or money which can be used at the casino on the date of sign-up.

A number of tribes offer free play via mailers to local residents on a monthly basis. Generally, this free play is equal to $5-15 dollars with a portion designated for a charitable program in locations where such programs exist. Regardless, when individuals can play with casino money, losses are not always as hard to bear whether a portion is donated to a cause or is simply returned to the casino.

Players may want to sign up at each and every casino players club which one visits regardless of these type programs. For, not only do many offer free play but also senior days with drawings and sign-up bonuses for new members. Free money is often put onto a card which is then inserted into a machine and once the user enters a password, monies are transferred to the card.

Of course, while some players win, others lose. Although, when one is playing with money provided by the casino, one does not lose personal funds. Yet, students often gain support when the casino provides a percentage of these losses to various charities associated with education.

Ultimately, funds directed toward educational programs are used for a variety of necessities. These donations are greatly appreciated, especially with the lack of funding often provided on a local or state level. While many have federal funding, donations from losses and player club programs definitely help in providing meal programs, medical assistance, head start and other similar programs in different areas of the country.
