The Biggest Enemy Of Dreams

By Evan Sanders

"The worst enemy to creativity is self-doubt." Sylvia Plath

When we start to question ourselves, our complete world begins to fall apart. That's a pretty bold statement, but if we actually dive into the after effects of what occurs when doubt crawls into our lives, it actually does happen. We can even take it a stage further in regards to chasing dreams. Since the playing field is even more competitive, and doubt comes into our minds, that's when it really does ruin everything or seems to put a total and complete stop to everything we've ever wanted in this life.

You see, dreams demand everything from you. They demand your complete attention, working ethos, passion, integrity, and willingness to sacrifice a significant deal to reach them. But when you start doubting your dream and what you're actually doing in life, you aren't giving it your all.

When you listen to a person talking of a dream, there's this sense you get from them that they know something is going to occur in spite of huge amounts of uncertainty surrounding all of it. There's an innate sense of belief that roots itself so deeply in that person that they can't probably be defeated. That really is true faith.

But when you listen to someone who is talking about their passions, and you get the sense that they're slightly on edge about it all, you can be pretty sure that they'll never achieve what they set out to do. It's not that you are rooting against them, but it's that you know dreams take everything and giving it less than that, well, it just won't work out in any way. So pour yourself into what you love and let doubt disappear from your mind. Others may say it's not practical but the inconceivable has been achieved many many times all through history.

Give it a try. Anything could happen.
