TOGAF, or The Open Group Architecture Forum, is an architecture and methodology framework that's used by the world's leading businesses in order to help improve their efficiency. Luckily, there are now Enterprise Architect TOGAF Training options to learn more about it. Those that use this framework are guaranteed more credibility, effectiveness, and opportunities.

The program dates back to 1995 and was formulated on principles of the US Department of Defense Technical Architecture Framework for Information Management. TAFIM has seen several revisions since that time and today it is known as version 9.1.

What the software essentially does is to support Enterprise Architecture that is used for business modelling. It is a great resource that can only benefit from specific training and is thus offered worldwide. Users do not have to be Open Group members, but there are licensing requirements to which one must adhere.

The typical student is an analyst who has a few options since the total course can vary in the order in which modules are taken. One can choose all or a part of the program as needed. It is basically a type of certification program that companies have come to require and it adds to users' credibility when in certain jobs. It may help to open up a new career to a beginner. No matter what road is followed, it is a two-part course of self-study and classroom instruction.

Finding a company that offers accrediting training is not difficult. Just be sure it pertains to the TOGAF 9 framework. Only experienced senior practitioners should be involved, and their knowledge must be in-depth. Students who heed this need will come out ahead with the requisite experience to move on. They will be able to implement what is taught within their various corporations.

There is also a Level 1 and Level 2 course that is a hybrid of a classroom and e-learning setting. With this course, the student is free to learn the course content of the first level (just the basics) with the freedom of time and place. When advancing to Level 2, it is done in a classroom environment in order to prepare them for sitting the Level 1 and Level 2 exam.

If only one of the two levels is needed, then there are courses to cover these needs as well. The Level 1 only course is done online, at any time and at any place. Again, this covers the basic concepts that are needed in order to pass and be certified for The Open Group Architecture Forum Level 1.

Software users can take only one level, if that is all that is needed. It would be the fundamentals as described above, done on the Internet. It may not be required to pass level two. On the other hand, someone might have basic knowledge and is ready to jump to the next phase. This can help enlarge one's strategies as well as the acquisition of more terminology. It is time for the classroom in this case. If certification is desired, it will be attained upon course completion.
