The Joy Of Panama City Dolphin Tours

By Eric Edwards

A trip to the beach is a joy, whether you are there alone, with that special someone, or with the whole family in tow. Building sand castles and enjoying the sea air is great, but perhaps you want to take things to the next level. If that sounds like something you want to do, then you will want to look into Panama City dolphin tours as a way to interact safely with these intelligent sea creatures.

In some cases, the dolphins are in a pen near the shore, and you just walk out on a dock and dive in with them. Usually though, you have to take a boat out further into the sea to where they hang out. Your chosen tour company will have the boat and an experienced captain to take you out to where the dolphins congregate, so you get to enjoy a relaxing boat ride before you dive in and start interacting with the animals.

Whatever boat the company has to take you out, it is likely large enough to seat many more people than just your group. You can share the trip with others, or you can opt to splurge a little and book a private tour instead. Nobody else will be on board, so you have more space and get more interaction time in the water as well.

The largest boats can take more than a dozen people out at once, sometimes 20 or more. So even if you have a large family or group of people with you, they will likely all fit. If you are a large group, see if there is a discount available. As long as you book all the seats together at the same time, you should qualify is a discount is available.

Parents often have trouble finding one activity that the entire family can agree on. This is especially true if there is a large age gap between one or more of the children. But all ages love dolphins, so this is one activity that everyone can agree on.

This is also a safe activity for all ages. All safety equipment such as life jackets are provided, with most companies making it mandatory that the kids wear them at all times when not in the water. The staff is experienced and everyone knows all safety precautions. They will explain all the rules while the captain drives you out to your location.

Many tours will give you free water or other drinks to stay hydrated, but just in case, you may want to bring a bottle of water. Make sure you have plenty of sunscreen on to shield you from the sun, and of course your bathing suit and towel.

When you do book, it is better to do so in advance. This is especially true if you are planning on going during March or April, as these two months are full of spring breakers from different parts of the country. Book far in advance for summer too, as spots fill up quickly due to kids being on summer vacation. This ensures that you have a spot and get the chance of a lifetime to interact with one of the most playful animals on earth.
