The debut film he made was A Month of Hungry Ghosts. This was released in Singapore on August 7 of 2008. This feature was nominated as Best Film at the Singapore Film Awards. This was part of the 22nd Singapore International Film Festival. The second film he helmet was Afterimages. This was released on September 11, 2004 in Singapore. This is coproduced by Genevieve Woo.
The second film that he successfully directed, Afterimages, was successfully funded through crowd sourcing, as well as crowd funding. It is to be noted though that is was able to secure the Media Development Authority production assistance grant. In the Network of Asian Fantastic Films, an awards competition that took place in Busan, South Korea, the film's script bagged the award.
