Originally, this grant was established to finance inmates that were incarcerated. Later, the Pell Grant was issued to most anyone with a financial hardship that wanted to attend college, a university, or a vocational institute. Thus, American civilians were giving a hand in the free financial pot. Today, the Pell Grant is available to prospective students with a limited income and have not already earned a bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.

You should provide the total sum of all debts owed and the names of all your creditors. This will help in the verification of your application, since the different creditors will all be contacted where necessary. In most cases, you will also be require to attach copies of your financial statements, which will act as proof that you are not able to pay your debts.
