Exciting Games at the Grand Canyon

By Ronald Fisher

Often, the emotional impact of an event in a person's life is closely related to the location in which that event takes place. For example, a person drinking a bottle of fine wine alone in his home will likely not have the same memorable experience as someone absorbing the same wine while on a wine tasting tour across the beautiful coast of France.

Thrill seekers who are not just content with sightseeing should definitely hook up with one of the bungee jumping expedition companies in order to undergo a safe and comfortable jumping experience. Be sure to plan Grand Canyon trips for nice weather days because the precarious position of the Grand Canyon can be greatly influenced by weather, which might not have much of an impact in other areas.

The Skywalk is truly a marvel of engineering as it is a transparent horseshoe shaped cantilever bridge that hangs out over the edge quite a ways. Just walking around the surface of the bridge tests a person's fear of heights, much taking a bungee jump over the edge. The amazing structure is rated to withstand an 8.0 magnitude earthquake as close as 50 miles and can theoretically hold the weight of 71 loaded Boeing 747 aircraft. It has been a magnet for tourists since its opening in 2007.

A new Navajo Bridge was constructed in 1994 at a cost of $14,700,000. It is a spandrel arch bridge which has a 90 foot rise and is located on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places. The full name of the Navajo Bridge is the Navajo Steel Archway Bridge and it is a part of US Highway 89A in Arizona. Be daring and check out the exciting spots the Grand Canyon has to offer.

For the ambitious travelers the Grand Canyon is a wonderful destination. There are many adrenaline based activities. If you don't possess a fear of heights it is the place for you. Tourists can bungee jump, sky dive, hang glide and more! The Skywalk also makes visitors feel as though they are floating above the 7th natural wonder of the world. You only life once right? So why not take chances?
