The cat exhibitions are one of those exhibitions that are gaining in popularity these days. It can be a source of relief from stress to some people while others use this as an opportunity for showing off their adorable felines. The said event is one where people can show that they can have a happy companionship with felines.

For those who are participating in this event as an exhibitor, you have the responsibility of following the guidelines for this event. There are some TICA registered cattery rules set beforehand that an exhibitor must take note of. You have to abide by these rules strictly. Here are a few of those rules that you must take note of as a participating exhibitor.

First, you have to pay attention to the claws of your cats you want to exhibit. If you enter the cat for the exhibition, you have to make sure that their claws are properly clipped prior to benching. When you fail to clip the claws of your cat, then your entry to this exhibition may subject you to disqualification.

The pets that you plan to enter in this event are usually being exhibited in a ring. Prior as well as during the actual judging of the pets, the exhibitors are forbidden to sit in there together with their cats. The same goes with holding or cuddling. They can only enter this ring when they are given the explicit permission by the judge.

There is another reason why the exhibitors are not permitted to be near the felines. After all, this will just give away which exhibitors own which cats. This will just be causing a compromise on the fairness of the judgment. There might be judges who will might become biased because of that. That is why it is extremely forbidden for exhibitors to show which cats are theirs.

In the same manner, the participating exhibitor is also not allowed to signal the officiating judge where his or her cats are placed in the ring. There will be questions on the fairness of the judging when such things happen so this is one of the guidelines and etiquette that must be followed by all participating exhibitors.

You have to be a fair exhibitor. In this case, no matter what the circumstances, you should never ask the officiating judges to have your felines judged separately. The felines should be judged together with the rest, after all. Otherwise, there will be another issue with the fairness of the judgment of the judges.

The safety of the cats as well as the people present during the exhibition is of topmost priority. Thus, as a participating exhibitor, you are prohibited from doing any actions that might cause physical harm to either the cats or the other people present during this exhibition. This is especially true during the actual show.

Putting the pets in their best spot is one of the goals of the exhibitors. They want to put their pets in the best condition possible for them to show off their adorableness. In this case, they might want to use special cages. For this, they have to inform the organizers about it. They also have to avoid inconveniencing others for this.
