Why do you need radiator covers?

By Marcel Hudsoin

If you have a huge radiator that is hogging most of the space on a large wall, you may wonder whether there is something more useful you can be doing with that space instead of just a radiator.

If you have pictures and ornaments that you want to display somewhere, then radiator covers will give you that bit of extra space where you can store and display them, making use of the space where the radiators currently sit.

Types and construction of radiator covers

Radiator covers can be made from various materials, which of course vary the price somewhat. They can be made from MDF, softwoods, hardwoods and even metal.

The most complex construction radiator covers are usually those that are really decorative because of the designs and intricacies going into the manufacture. Otherwise, the modern and simple designs will also have a very simple manufacturing process because they are a very simple in design. This is not necessarily to say cheaper!

Styles and Colours for radiator covers

Radiator covers are often referred to in period styles, such as Georgian radiator covers, Victorian radiator covers, Old England radiator covers, New England radiator covers or often based on well-known styles such as Studley radiator covers and Classic radiator covers.

If you are changing the decoration in your home, then you might consider the options of putting a radiator cover over your radiator to make more use of the space that your radiator is taking up and even give yourself some more storage space. This will also enhance the size of your room and also make it look more attractive as you can choose the designs to match your room and colours, thus matching your furniture and other items. If your house is Victorian then you would probably want to look at our Victorian radiator covers, on the other hand if your house is much more modern then you would want to look at our modern range.
