The Constantly Changing Look And Purpose Of The Shoe

By Annie Venison Clinkerton

Back in the old days, shoes were generally seen as items of clothing designed for protection. Shoes can serve as protection against injuries when worn while walking in rough terrain or uneven fields. In countries where temperatures are always at extreme levels, shoes are worn as a way to protect against the very harsh weather.

Finding the shoes is harder essentially because it must complement the chosen dress very well. Besides matching the dress, the shoes must also match the venue and the season. With a lot of shoe types that can be used in a wedding, a bride might lose track of where to start searching. There are pumps, stilettos, wedges and others. In fact, there are even crystal shoes that seem to give off the vibe of Cinderella's glass shoes. There are many of these available in crystalheels. These are some of the other tips that can be used before buying a pair of wedding shoes.

First up are sandals. With a wide range of heel heights, sandals give a lot of great choices. There is a sandal that gives a glamorous look with its tall heel made stronger by its satin sling-back design. It has an asymmetrical styled front strap with crystals that match its crystal bow. On the other hand, there is another sandal that is less traditional. The sandal has sparkles of metallic silver and strands of rhinestones as its main points of attraction. Next are pumps which are able to match the dress and the season better than the sandals can.

This type of shoe would normally have a narrow base and a pointed tip. Also, there are crystal shoes that are available for women. These shoes are easier to find these days, and stores like crystalheels are starting to make a splash in the fashion world. High heels dominate the majority of fashion shoes for women. Even women who enjoy flats for convenience on a casual day would end up wearing high heels for important events and gatherings.

From a style standpoint, the shoes just need to reflect the same level of elegance as the gown. They do not need to be overly designed or anything like that since they are finishing pieces. From a comfort standpoint, as long as the shoes do not cause the wearer any amount of pain, they can be deemed worthy to be worn.
