Hair Styles For Round Faces

By Dennis E. Price

What is a round face? Generally speaking this is normally recognised as a face which is in the shape of a circle. Sometimes people get mixed up with between an oval and a round face. If you are unsure what type of face you have ask a beauty therapist.

The next question to ask yourself is what type of hair style would I suit? Ask around and you will find that most stylists request a style that stops at your shoulders or longer. Below are several tips on what to select and expect when it comes to round faces.

Fringes make your face look more circular. By avoiding asking your hairdresser for bangs, you will not make the mistake of having a hair cut which makes your face round. If you decide you would rather have a fringe incorporated in your style then ask for a side fringe.

Another great tip would be not to have a parting on the side of your head instead wear your parting in the middle. This will give the illusion of a longer oval style face than a round shape.

The next time you visit your hair salon ask them to create a style with lots of layers starting from the top of your head. This often gives people the quick perception of having a longer face than you have which minimises the round effect.

Another piece of advice would be to wear your hair long . Do not ask for a style which stops at the chin as this always makes your face bigger than it normally is.

Just to recap. Don't use a side parting try instead to select a middle parting. Grow your hair long and add lots of layers. Go online and look for hairstyles which are great for square faces. You can always add products which give your hair some volume. Remember and select products which are great for your hair and gives it volume, shine and amazing condition.
