The skyline capital and largest city of South Korea, Seoul, is as impressive as it is beautiful. As one of the biggest cities in the world, Seoul has a history that extends back 2000 years, during which time it has always been a very important major settlement. It's this long history that gives Seoul it's color, in the form of historical landmarks and beautiful and complex culture. Take this history and throw in neon lights and skyscrapers, and you have the Seoul of today. Traveling to Seoul requires that you have a passport, including a child U.S. passport for minors in your group.

If your trip is coming close and you still don't have a passport, online passport services can help you avoid having to cancel or postpone your trip. Instead, you can get your passport as quickly as you need. Not only can you get your passport within days, but the process is also less headache-inducing. A plethora of services are available, including expedited damaged pass port replacements, passports for children, and so on.

Seoul is home to no less than five absolutely stunning royal palaces. Because Seoul was once where all the rulers of Korea lived, these palaces served as there homes. Changdeok-gung and Gyeongbok-gung are two of the most impressive and important of these palaces, and each offers something different. Changdeok-gung is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The complex features many buildings, with one of note being the King's bedchambers and his secret garden. Changdeok-gung was built to impress, and it is breathtaking. Inside this complex, you'll find the National Museum of Korea and the National Folk Museum, both worth exploring.

As mentioned before, the National Museum of Korea can be found in the Gyeongbok-gung palace complex. As the biggest museum in South Korea, it has over 220,000 artifacts that are meant to provide a glimpse into the beautiful and intricate culture of the Korean people. The items comprise a variety of subjects, including fine art as well as archaeological artifacts. There's also shops and cafes.

Both tourists and locals can't resist the charm of Samcheong-dong Bukchon, a cute, laid-back neighborhood full of cozy cafes and restaurants, art galleries, clothing stores, and lots of places to relax. Many consider this neighborhood to offer the most authentic Korean experience, as you really get to see the types of lives people live in this neighborhood.

If you are looking to unwind someplace away from the craziness of the city, head to Cheonggyecheon. This river didn't always have a sparkling reputation. In fact, it was once very polluted. However, it's been cleaned up and transformed into a beautiful natural area where city-goers can come and escape the bustle for a little. There is over five miles of walkway along the stream, meaning you can walk as long as you like, enjoying some art and nature.
