Boilers Available For Home Heating Systems
In most instances where there is a home heating system installed there will be a boiler as well even though there are a number of different fuel types that could be used. Here is a short list of the kind of boilers that you could choose from and the kind of fuel that they use but even though this list has a variety of different types there are more available.
Gas Boilers
Conventional Boilers are not that economical because of the fact that a lot of the heat is lost in the air and then more fuel needs to be burned in order to heat the water that gets pumped around the radiators. If you want to take a bath then you are going to have to heat up the water beforehand and unless you actually take the bath immediately, you could end up wasting money.
Combination Boilers have the ability to heat up the water only when it is required which makes them a much more economical option than the conventional heaters. With hot water being available on demand, the system will just knock the heating on and off whenever it is required to pump hot water around the house.
Other Types of Boiler
Oil Boilers are one of the most efficient on the market and are growing in popularity but they can be troublesome to get going if they are allowed to run out of fuel. The difference between oil boilers and gas boilers is that the gas is pumped in directly by the gas company but the oil is stored on the individual's property.
LPG Boilers are no different from your normal gas boilers except that they need to have been converted in order to run this fuel. However it is not very practical to get your boiler converted unless you do not have access to piped gas as it is very expensive.
Once the conversion is done the LPG fuel will actually work out at a similar price to piped gas.
