Skoda Yeti Review and Specifications
Skoda Yeti was launched in November 2010. It is currently getting very good response and demands as well. It is a powerful SUV competing with the models like Hyundai Santa Fe, Mahindra Scorpio Tata Safari, Tata Aria, Maruti Grand Vitara, Ford Endeavor, Toyota Fortuner and Mitsubishi Outlander in domestic market. It was first showcased in January 2010 at Delhi Auto Expo.To cater the Indian market, Skoda India, a fully owned subsidiary of the parent company was incorporated. The subsidiary witnessed a sales growth of 90% during the period 2010-11 thereby indicating the growing popularity of Skoda cars in the country. The company has launched four models in India - Fabia, Laura, Yeti, and Superb.
The new Yeti E 2.0-litre TDI has a combined fuel economy of 52.3mpg and only emits 140g/km of CO2 which are excellent figures for a family friendly car like this which offers plenty of space for the entire family and their luggage. Price wise the Skoda Yeti starts at 14,800 and places like Skoda Hampshire will most certainly have this new Skoda available on their forecourts.
Crossover vehicles are bigger than your average hatchback, but they're not so big that they are difficult to handle and manoeuvre around towns and cities. They are also an excellent family vehicle as they offer plenty of room for busy families' shopping and other bits and bobs. They 'borrow' elements of styling from SUVs to give them a stylish, sporty edge.
Rebadging also occurs when two manufacturers pool resources to create a new product. General Motors and Toyota collaborated to form New United Motor Manufacturing Inc. which produced the Chevrolet Prizm/Toyota Corolla.
I looked at many vehicles, as in MANY vehicles, but each and every time I had to drive her in and give her keys to someone else I just could not get myself to do it. Every time I walked back to her and kept driving her, enduring her oil and fuel appetite for a few months more before starting to shop around again.After a year of "deciding" to get a different vehicle I ended up in a place with an elegant car, more suitable for a family and more fitting with my role as mom, professional and all the rest. I walked to my new vehicle and left Pumpkin behind. She was going to be fixed up a little and will start her journey with a new owner. I was assured of this by the dealer
It has very compact dimensions and independent suspension set-up with the same kind of agility reserved for sedans. It is a well under control automobile and because it is so compact when viewed from behind the wheel, it is a hoot to drive through the traffic too. However, on our test drive of sorts, we did notice that the journey became uncomfortable as the road quality deteriorated. Laura is way more comfortable when compared to the Yeti. It is hardly marginally priced with the base petrol model at INR 12 lacs and 18 lacs bracket in the fully-loaded diesel variant.
