Exercises To Help You Grow Tall

By Mike Lucason

Of all the ways to add to one's height, exercises to grow taller are among the most effective. Using growth hormone drugs, lead a good life with enough to eat and time to rest, the resultant effects as it relates with your height may not be as noticeable as when you complement it with body stretching exercises, particularly when you are way past your teen years. The bones of the body actually determine our heights and it has been proven that these can stretch up till our late 20's. According to scientists that study the human body, the spine is flexible and can be stretched and also holds a significant part of your height.

Participating in sports like swimming and basketball have a significant effect in adding to your height. These sports encourage the stretching of the spine considerably, particularly because they involve using the arms and stretching the spinal cord regularly during training and in actual games. For those who don't participate in any sport, daily exercises will do. Some of the best, yet very simple exercises that can enhance height include:

Touch Toes: Stand straight up with the hands pointing upwards, bend over and attempt to touch your toes while keeping your knees straight.. The first few attempts might feel difficult, but with constant trial, you will master it.

Hanging: Gravity remains a big obstacle to growing taller, we spend most of our time in a vertical position and gravity keeps compressing the spine and joints squeezing the cartilage and making us shorter. To counter the effects of gravity, attempt to hang from swings attached to trees or any other device that can carry your weight thereby stretching the spine reducing the tenseness between the vertebrae.

Pull Ups: These exercises are good for the back, neck, shoulders and biceps, it helps in gently massaging the bones on the upper part of the body thereby stretching them. To promote HGH, combine hanging and pull ups on a daily basis.

Bow Down: Try stretching by placing the back firmly against the wall after a brief warm up on the bed, raise the hands and just stretch. Be sure not to pull too hard but keep the back stuck to the wall the whole time.

Pelvic Shift: The essence of this exercise is to stretch the spine and hips thereby adding your height. Lie on your back with your shoulders and arms firmly planted on the floor, bend the knees and draw your feet as close to the buttocks as possible arching your back so that the pelvic thrusts forward.

Eating good food, having enough rest and taking dietary supplements will aid adding more heights, but the most effective way to gain more inches is to indulge in body stretching exercises regularly.
