Fly Clear of Airport Security with Clear Me
In the wake of the horrors of September 11th, 2001 the nation came together with the understanding for the necessity of escalating protection in our airports. Unfortunately with the improved security measures also came longer wait time and longer lines. Passing through security became an issue and even burdensome for the normal traveler. To battle such snags in travel time however; Clear Me was started. Clear Me is a service that permits passengers to fly clear of particular security checkpoints at specified airports around the United States and someday the world.
Founded in 2003; Clear me was expressly formed to help lower wait time at airports. Instead of waiting in line like everyone else a Clear Me consumer is able to present a biometric ID card to specified checkpoints which will let them bypass specified security checkpoints. This service is said to cut wait time down between 20 and 30 minutes.
Seeing as Clear me is a security measure an individual can't just sign up for it like it's an email account. In order to be allowed to fly clear of airport security and become a subscriber to Clear Me's services one must provide several pieces of information. This information includes multiple forms of government ID, passing a LexisNexis background check and submitting to a fingerprint and iris scan. Once you accepted to pay the yearly fee of around $200 you will then be qualified for Clear Me.
Once you've become a member you can sidestep the lines everyone else is waiting on and provide your biometric ID card to the right officials you will be well on your way to fighting the long lines and wait times.
It's still up for disagreement whether or not Clear Me is a service that is going to survive. Though it folded once before; its new investors are honoring old memberships of 200,000 subscribers. Will you be the one waiting in line or will you too be flying clear of airport security?
