Planning A Beach Wedding In Key West Plan Now And Book

By Peter Estenoz

Chances are if you are thinking about a beach wedding, you are thinking about, Key West, Florida. It is a charming and colorful place and is secluded and natural enough to still be considered as paradise. However, many people appreciate what this southernmost point has to offer and want to have their ceremony there thus some people often ask themselves: how far in advance should I book my Key West wedding.

The easy answer to the previous question is anywhere from 9 months to 1 year. Note that this timeline may seem long but it is very strict, especially for those planning medium to large ceremonies. During this time one has to: ensure they get a fixed date (one that will most likely not have bad weather or coincide with many other events). They also have to ensure they get: the right venue, places for guests to stay and all the things needed for the event.

This sounds like a lot of things, and it is. There are however, solutions to these problems and they start by getting to know the town and doing the appropriate research. Always start with your booking options for your proposed wedding date. This date should not fall during wedding, rainy or hurricane season. Thankfully, all three coincide to some extent and last from May to November. Instead, choose a date in the dry season, which falls between December and April and pray that the weather is in your favor.

During this time you are bound to have hotel rooms available for guests, but do not take any chances, book as early as possible. You will also have an increase in the possible locations to have such an event. Check out the many beaches and have your pick of the best one because chances are, there will not be many ceremonies during this time.

Immediately after finalizing the venue, date and accommodation of guest, start planning the ceremony. Decide what you will source from the Keys and what you will get from other places. If you do the necessary research, you will realize that there are many wedding supplies available there and the need to import is not that great.

You can source anything from a cake for the ceremony to chairs for the beach locally. Do the necessary research or hire someone to do it for you. All you must worry about getting to the location are the people and their things.

How far in advance should I book my Key West wedding is a valid question for anyone planning a ceremony in this location. It is a highly sought after location for these types of events and thus one should not take the booking process lightly. Book with enough time that will allow you to get the ceremony of your dreams.
