Nannies Needed-The Nanny Who Complements the Mommy Will Complete the Job

By Alice Sy

Nannies needed by most families always vary. For every parent, it is standard to create standards for the nanny before hiring. Almost always, the typical criteria include excellent skills, clean background, hard work, professionalism and a good character. These are common and given. What every parent must know though is that, in order to succeed more in hiring a nanny who will last in the job and at home perfectly, there are other important criteria to look for.

Look for the Chemistry

Whether the parents is looking for a part time nanny or live in nanny wanted, it is important to establish comfort with each other. Compatibility is similar to good chemistry. A parent who is not compatible with a nanny will only expect stressful feelings at the end of the day, especially if the nanny will get closer to the child.

Complementing Skills are the Key

A nanny wanted to fill in the nanny position does not always guarantee perfect chemistry to all mommies. Even couples have difficulty proving this. Well, the nanny-mommy partnership may be likened to marriage that will lead to divorce if one does not click with the other sooner or later. That click can be achieved with the right mix. The key here is about the difference.

Successful nanny jobs await the candidate who can complement with the employer, not blend. Specifically, the mommy must not hire a nanny who is just like her. She may be obsessive-compulsive; she needs a collected and mature nanny. A parent who is paranoid cannot mesh well with another paranoid nanny.

Sometimes, a small difference can be the key to that long-lasting connection. The most compatible employer-employee relationship complements each other. Similarities are only good in some aspects like security and good intentions for the child, otherwise in skills and work attitude, a healthy difference would go a long way.
