Chanel Glasses

At the forefront of the design field when it comes to mixing a new design with timeless elegance, the Chanel name is a fashion label that we have become accustomed to linking with high-fashion products. For many years the Chanel brand has gained a reputation for producing high quality bags, shoes, accessories and clothes, but most recently they have ventured into the sunglasses market, keeping up the high standards we have come to associate with the brand. Each year Chanel designs a wide range of sunglasses to suit both men and women, but one of the most popular designs we have seen in recent years is the Chanel 5182 design.

The 5182 range really stands apart from the crowd for a number of reasons, but one of the most noticeable is the physical design of the sunglasses. The connection of the arms at the top of the lenses makes a start contrast to the generic style of connecting the arms to the middle of the lenses. The larger frame design combined with this connection allows the glasses to sit lower on the face and creates a completely different style.

The Chanel 5182 comprises a very simplistic plastic frame which does enable a good deal of flexibility to the design. The lenses are quite large and comprise the high standard of sun protection that we have come to expect from the Chanel brand. The gradient lenses filter out UVA, UVB and blue light rays to the highest standard, ensuring that your eyes receive 100% sun protection.

The glasses come in a whole range of different colours and styles to suit the individual but the main colours are blue, red, green and an animal-style print. In addition, each temple is graced by interlocking C's which remind us of the prominence of the Chanel brand.

The Chanel 5182 style has been likened to cats eyes, with their big hooped frames and rather pointed design. The high rise of the sunglasses' arms also lends to a very sophisticated and overstated approach.
